The Brill Building is an Art Deco office building whose real fame comes from music. In the 1950s and 1960s its rooms were packed with songwriters and publishers, and the "Brill Building sound" shaped American pop through writers such as Carole King, Burt Bacharach, Neil Diamond, and Leiber and Stoller.
