Conservatory Garden

Conservatory Garden is Central Park's formal garden, tucked behind the Vanderbilt Gate on the park's quiet north-east edge. Its six acres are divided into Italian, French, and English-style sections, with clipped plantings, fountains, seasonal flowers, and sculpture.

It feels more composed and less crowded than the park's lawns and drives. Come in spring for tulips and crabapple blossom, or use it as a calm detour when exploring the museums and neighbourhoods along upper Fifth Avenue.
