Pastis, opened by Keith McNally in 1999, helped turn the Meatpacking District from a wholesale meat market into a nightlife destination. It closed in 2014 and reopened a block away in 2019 with the same zinc bar, subway tiles, and mosaic floor that made the original a classic French bistro.
