H. Lee White Maritime Museum

Harbour museum covering more than four centuries of Lake Ontario maritime history.

The H. Lee White Maritime Museum sits in Oswego's historic maritime district, close to the harbour and the west pier. Its collections cover shipwrecks, lighthouses, commercial navigation, and the long relationship between the city and Lake Ontario.

It is the right companion to Fort Ontario: the fort explains why the harbour mattered strategically, while the museum explains how people worked, crossed, and sometimes fought the lake itself.
