Splish Splash is a big summer water park in Calverton, just outside central Riverhead. It is not subtle, and it is not trying to be: the point is slides, pools, queues, sunblock, and a full day of family entertainment.
Go early on hot weekends, when half of Long Island seems to have the same idea.
