Hubbard House Underground Railroad Museum

Restored harbour house interpreting Ashtabula's role as a northern Underground Railroad terminus.

The Hubbard House preserves the story of William and Catharine Hubbard, whose harbour home became part of the Underground Railroad network. Ashtabula's lake position mattered: from here, some freedom seekers could continue across Lake Erie toward Canada.

The museum is small and seasonal, but it gives the harbour district moral weight beyond boats, bridges, and lake views.
