Walnut Beach is Ashtabula's easiest patch of Lake Erie: sand, boardwalk, dunes, wetlands, and space to sit by the water. It is not a grand beach, but it gives the harbour visit a natural finish.
Come for a walk even outside swimming weather. The lake, the river mouth, and the nearby harbour sights all make more sense from here.
