The Museum of Ceramics is East Liverpool's essential stop. Housed in the former 1909 post office, it tells the story of the city and surrounding area when local potteries produced a huge share of America's ceramic ware.
The highlight is Lotus Ware, the delicate late-19th-century porcelain that became East Liverpool's showpiece. Even if you do not collect ceramics, the museum makes the old industrial city legible.
