The Allen Memorial Art Museum is the strongest reason to visit Oberlin. It is a college museum, but not a token one: the collection is broad, free to enter, and strong enough to make the town worth a detour for art-minded travellers. The Cass Gilbert building also gives the campus one of its best architectural moments.
