The Douglas County Museum is the best indoor stop in Roseburg, especially on a rainy day or before heading deeper into the valley. Its collections cover natural history, Native and pioneer-era material, transport, logging, and the communities that grew around the Umpqua River.
This is a local museum, not a blockbuster, but it gives the surrounding landscape a story. After an hour here, the wineries, old bridges, timber towns, and river roads around Roseburg make more sense.
