Wildlife Safari is the headline family stop near Roseburg, a drive-through wildlife park in Winston where many animals move through large open habitats rather than small cages. You stay in your car for the main route, which makes it an easy half-day even with children or bad weather.
The park is best known regionally for its cheetah program, but the larger appeal is the slow, slightly surreal drive past animals you would never expect to meet in the Umpqua Valley. It is touristy, but it is also distinctive enough to justify the detour.
