Tröegs has been brewing in central Pennsylvania since 1997, and their purpose-built Hershey brewery is one of the best taproom experiences in the state. The Snitz Creek Pub inside has a full kitchen serving wood-fired pretzels, sandwiches, and seasonal plates — food that's genuinely good, not afterthought bar food.
The flagship Nugget Nectar (a hoppy amber ale) and Troegenator (a double bock) are the beers to try. The taproom pours dozens of rotating taps including small-batch experiments from their Scratch Series that you won't find anywhere else. Tours of the brewery run on weekends. It's about a mile south of downtown Hershey — worth a visit even if you're not particularly into craft beer.
