Gobbler's Knob is the small wooded stage where Punxsutawney Phil makes his annual Groundhog Day appearance before dawn on 2 February. On that morning it becomes a cold, crowded folk festival; the rest of the year it is a quiet site with signs, photo stops, and enough ceremony left in the air to make the detour worthwhile.
