Mountain View Park gives Clemson a quiet stretch of Lake Hartwell, with wooded shoreline and access to the broad reservoir created by Hartwell Dam. It is a simple outdoors stop rather than a polished attraction, but it works well for swimming, fishing, a picnic, or a slow afternoon by the water.
The lake is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and the surrounding forest makes the park feel more rural than its distance from town suggests.
