The President Andrew Johnson Museum and Library is on the Tusculum University campus east of downtown, housed in Old College from 1841. It holds Johnson-related collections and university archives, making it a worthwhile add-on for travellers already following the Johnson trail.
It is more specialist than the National Historic Site, so call ahead and treat it as a supplement rather than the main stop.
