The Houston Museum of Natural Science is one of the big anchors of the Museum District. Its permanent draws include dinosaur skeletons, mineral and gem halls, a butterfly centre, a planetarium, and an IMAX theatre, with touring exhibitions layered on top. It is an easy choice for families, but the collection is strong enough to justify a visit even without children.
