A 28-acre education centre and trail network along the North Branch of the Winooski River, about a mile and a half north of downtown. The grounds include meadows, woods, and a riverside boardwalk; resident animals include a barn owl and a few non-releasable raptors.
The centre runs naturalist-led walks, evening lectures, and a children's nature programme; the trails are open dawn to dusk year-round and link up with the wider city trail system. A pleasant stop for travellers with kids, or anyone who wants to walk in the woods.
