Taylor Park is the town common and the natural starting point for St. Albans. The green was laid out in the 1790s, and the surrounding streets hold the courthouse, churches, civic buildings, and commercial blocks that made the town the centre of Franklin County.
The district is small enough to take in slowly. Look for the fountain, memorials, brick storefronts, and the way the old stagecoach road and railway-era town grew around the same central green.
