Clarendon

Arlington's liveliest neighbourhood — walkable restaurant strip, farmers market, and bars

Clarendon is the closest thing Arlington has to a real urban neighbourhood centre — a walkable strip of Wilson Boulevard and Clarendon Boulevard between the Courthouse and Ballston Metro stops, lined with restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and a weekend farmers' market. The area has a young professional population and an unusually diverse food scene, anchored historically by a strong Vietnamese community (the "Little Saigon" concentration extends west toward Falls Church).

Weekend brunch on the outdoor terraces, and a weekly farmers' market on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, are the main neighbourhood rituals. The Clarendon Metro station (Orange and Silver lines) connects directly to Rosslyn, Georgetown, and downtown DC.
