Hahn Horticulture Garden is a six-acre teaching garden tucked into the Virginia Tech campus. It is not huge, but it is one of the easiest places in town to slow down: perennial borders, water gardens, shade plantings, and small paths make it a good break from the hard lines of campus.
The garden is open daily and is free, so it works well as a quick stop between the Drillfield and Smithfield Plantation. Spring and early summer are the best seasons, but the structure of the garden makes it pleasant even outside peak bloom.
