Logging Legacy Memorial

A public art installation and memorial in downtown Enumclaw honoring the timber industry that shaped King County and the entire Cascade foothills region. The logging economy that built Enumclaw is long gone — the forests around the town were cleared decades ago — but the industry's legacy in the community's DNA runs deep. The memorial uses stylized logs and interpretive panels to tell that story.

It's a modest installation but a thoughtful one, and it makes a good stop while walking the compact downtown area. The adjacent Trommald Building, a late-Victorian commercial structure listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is worth a look for its well-preserved facade.
