Sequim's lavender farms are the town's signature summer sight. The rain-shadow climate keeps the valley sunny and relatively dry, and the fields bloom purple against a backdrop of Olympic peaks.
Peak bloom is usually around July, when the lavender festival and farm events make the valley busy. Outside the main season, some farms still sell oils, soaps, culinary lavender, and gifts, but the fields are the reason to time it right.
