Wind Point Lighthouse stands north of central Racine and gives the local shoreline its most graceful landmark. The lighthouse is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and tours are sometimes available in season.
Even if you do not climb it, the trip is worthwhile for the setting: lawns, lake air, and a clean view of the tower against Lake Michigan.
