Rurrenabaque sells two different trips and Mashaquipe runs both. The jungle is Madidi upriver — closed canopy, medicinal plants, monkeys, peccary, toucans, walking. The pampas is the flooded savannah down the Yacuma to the east, done from a boat, where you see far more animals: pink river dolphins, capybara, caiman, and piranha if it is the season.
If you only have time for one, the pampas gives you the wildlife and the jungle gives you the forest. Their guides are from local indigenous communities, which is the difference between being shown a tree and being told what it is for.
Two mobiles, and reservations are made on WhatsApp — they say so on the front page. Payment is taken in person in Rurrenabaque.
They publish no street address, so the pin here is the town centre.
