The Cristalino private reserve protects rainforest beside the Cristalino River and is the base for many of the area's best guided walks, canoe trips, and canopy-tower birding sessions. The lodge is commercial, but the draw is the reserve itself: tall terra firme forest, quiet river bends, and a real chance of seeing monkeys and large birds.
