Praça Mestre Orlando is the old centre of Caldas Novas, beside the Igreja Matriz de Nossa Senhora das Dores. It is not a grand colonial square, but it gives the resort city a human scale and a little history between the water parks.
Come in the evening, when the square is livelier and the heat is less punishing. The church dates back to the old Goiás settlement period, before thermal tourism took over the city's identity.
