The Revoada dos Guarás is Atins' best short wildlife trip. Boats leave near the port and head toward the mangroves east of the village, where red ibises return near sunset.
The spectacle is simple: wait on the sand or in the boat, then watch flashes of red move across the evening sky. It is best arranged locally, and small private boats can be better than a fixed group if you want to choose the timing.
