The MAM houses an important collection of modern Brazilian and international art in a striking modernist building designed by Affonso Eduardo Reidy in 1953. The building itself, elevated on pilotis with sweeping concrete forms, is as much a reason to visit as the art inside. Open Tuesday to Friday from noon to 6 pm, weekends from noon to 7 pm. Closed Mondays. Student discounts available.
