Guaraú is the beach that makes Peruíbe feel different from the busier coast near Santos. A short drive over forested hills brings you to a broad sweep of sand, the Guaraú River, and views toward the protected Juréia-Itatins landscape.
It is accessible enough for a lazy beach afternoon but close enough to wilder country to feel like a threshold. From here, visitors with guides or local advice can continue toward more controlled-access beaches and waterfalls.
