Itinguçu State Park

Atlantic Forest park south of Guaraú, protecting beaches, waterfalls, and rainforest paths.

Itinguçu State Park is part of the protected Juréia-Itatins mosaic south of Peruíbe. It protects Atlantic Forest, beaches, rivers, and waterfalls in a stretch of coast that escaped the heavier urbanisation farther north.

Access is more controlled than at an ordinary beach, and some areas require local environmental monitors. That is part of the point: this is Peruíbe's wild edge, where the beach-town grid gives way to forest, river mouths, and steep green hills.
