Parque Vicentina Aranha occupies the grounds of a former sanatorium completed in 1924. The old pavilions, gardens, and paths now make one of the most pleasant public spaces in São José dos Campos.
It is a good stop if you want a quiet walk close to the centre. The architecture also tells a different story from the city's modern aerospace image: health retreats, charitable institutions, and the urban growth of early twentieth-century São Paulo state.
