Santa Rita is the church Serro uses for drama. A long stairway climbs to the small chapel, and the reward is a clean view back over the historic centre and the folds of the surrounding hills.
The chapel is modest beside the Matriz, but the climb, setting, and skyline make it one of the town's essential stops. Go when the light is soft and the white church catches the slope rather than glaring in the midday sun.
