Sao Francisco de Paula Church sits on a low hill above Tiradentes, giving one of the best views back over the tiled roofs, the Matriz, and the Serra de Sao Jose. The chapel is modest; the setting is the reason to climb.
Go late in the day if the weather is clear. The view explains the old town's compact shape better than any map.
