The Michinmahuida route is for travellers who have a full day and enough legs for a serious hike. It follows forest and river country toward the glacier below the ice-capped volcano, with the landscape becoming wilder the farther you go.
Do not treat it as a casual stroll from town. Start early, check conditions locally, and expect mud, rain, and changing visibility; the attraction here is the feeling of pushing into real northern Patagonian wilderness.
