Cerro Dorotea is the classic short hike from Puerto Natales, rising northeast of town near the Argentine border road. On a clear day the view takes in Última Esperanza Sound, the town, the surrounding steppe, and the mountains beyond.
This is Patagonia, so do not trust a calm morning too much. Bring wind protection, water, and enough time to turn around if the weather gets ugly.
