A reliable choice for traditional Colombian food near the central plaza — bandeja paisa, sancocho de gallina, and fresh jugos de fruta in a colonial-era house with a courtyard. The portions are generous and the prices are appropriate for the level of town. Considerably more comfortable than the pilgrimage-strip restaurants near the basilica.
Good for lunch after visiting the churches. The ajiaco (potato and chicken soup) is made properly here, which is rarer than it should be outside Bogotá.
