Parque Santander is Leticia's main square, but the reason to come is the evening bird show. Near sunset, green parakeets pour into the trees in a loud, chaotic roost that turns an ordinary plaza into one of the town's signature scenes.
Ask at the church beside the park if the tower is open; the view over the square, town, and river is worth the small donation.
