A rolling green hill about half an hour's walk from the Plaza Central, with a sweeping view over the whole Ayabaca valley. The pastures and scattered trees give it a friendly, almost Alpine feel, and from around four in the afternoon clouds begin to drift across the ridge and the light turns spectacular. Bring something to drink and stay for the sunset. To get there: follow Calle Cáceres with the town hall behind you for a couple of kilometres, cross the plaza of the small village at the end, and take any of the branching paths up the hill.
