Chichiriviche Waterfront

Chichiriviche's compact waterfront is the operational hub of the town — the place where boats depart for the cays, where fishermen land their catch in the early morning, and where posadas, restaurants, and vendors cluster around the docks. The embarcadero itself is informal: boat owners approach potential passengers on foot, negotiate prices for the cays, and depart when they have enough passengers.

The main street along the water has the usual range of small restaurants serving fried fish, arepas, and cold drinks, plus a handful of shops selling snorkeling gear, sunscreen, and beach supplies. Prices and quality vary; anything within sight of the dock will be adequate, and a cheerful negotiation spirit is the norm. The waterfront is at its most lively Friday evening through Sunday, when Caraqueños and Valencians arrive for the weekend, and the boat traffic picks up notably from morning onwards.
