Annaba is served by Rabah Bitat International Airport (AAE), located about 12 kilometres south of the city centre. Air Algérie operates flights from Algiers and several European cities. A taxi from the airport to the city centre takes around 20 minutes.
The city has a mainline railway station with connections to Constantine (about 2 hours) and Algiers (overnight trains, around 9–10 hours). Buses connect to Constantine, El Tarf, and Guelma. From Tunisia, the border crossing at Oum Teboul / El Ayoun is about 50 kilometres east — there are shared taxis operating this route.
