Cirta Museum

Constantine's main museum, housed behind the Place des Martyrs. The collection covers the ancient history of the region, with antiquities from the Numidian and Roman periods — sculpture, mosaics, coins, and everyday objects from Cirta, the ancient Numidian capital on whose ruins Constantine sits. A small but worthwhile stop that gives context to the layers of civilisation buried beneath the modern city.

Open 8am to noon and 2pm to 5pm daily, closed Friday mornings and Saturdays.
