The Nubian Museum tells the story of Nubian civilisation from prehistoric times to the present day, with particular attention to the monuments and communities that were lost when Lake Nasser filled behind the High Dam. The collection includes artefacts from the temples that were saved — and those that were not — along with jewellery, pottery, and reconstructions of traditional Nubian houses.
