Narok Museum

The Narok Museum is a small but worthwhile regional museum that covers Maasai culture, history, and the ecology of the Mara ecosystem. Exhibits include traditional Maasai dress, beadwork, weaponry, and tools, alongside displays on the wildlife and landscapes of the wider region. It is one of the few places in the area where you can get a real sense of Maasai pastoral life before entering the reserve.

The museum is run by the National Museums of Kenya and is located near the town centre, making it an easy 30-minute stop if you arrive with time to spare before the final leg to the park gates.
