Eldoret has a good range of restaurants by Kenyan provincial city standards. The town has a significant Asian-Kenyan community, which means Indian food is widely available and often excellent. Ugali, nyama choma (grilled meat), and githeri are the staple local options. The Oginga Odinga Street area and the newer shopping malls have the best concentrations of restaurants.
