Nimba Airport

Nimba Airport is a small airstrip near the LAMCO/ArcelorMittal mining complex in the Yekepa area, used mainly by company charter flights, occasional humanitarian flights and a handful of small operators. Scheduled commercial service has been rare or non-existent in recent decades, and most travellers reach Sanniquellie and the Nimba region by road via Gbarnga.

The airport is not really a sight in itself but it is worth knowing about for trip planning — and for the curious, the strip and its small terminal are a reminder of the scale of the original LAMCO operation.
