The Fatimid palace ruins sit close to the mosque remains and are the other major trace of medieval Agedabia. The site is fragmentary, but it helps explain why the town appears in old accounts as a place of consequence rather than just a dot on the road.
There are no reliable visitor facilities, signs or opening hours. Go only with local advice, and do not expect the kind of conserved masonry found at Libya's famous Roman sites.
