Agedabia is reached by road. It lies on Libya's main coastal route between Tripoli and Benghazi, about 150 km south of Benghazi, and is also the junction for roads running south to Awjila, Jalu and Kufra.
Public transport can be irregular and security checkpoints are common. Travellers should arrange transport through a local contact or licensed operator rather than assuming that shared taxis will be available on the day.
