Held each summer (usually July), this week-long festival transforms Djemaa el-Fna and the surrounding gardens into an open-air stage for folk arts from across Morocco. Gnaoua musicians, Amazigh dancers, acrobats, and storytellers from every region perform nightly. It's one of the better occasions to see traditional Moroccan performance arts that are disappearing from everyday life.
