Jnane el Harti is the main public park on the western edge of the Semlalia district — a well-maintained green space of rose beds, mature trees, and paved paths that serves as the neighbourhood playground for a very large portion of Marrakesh's non-tourist population. On weekend afternoons the park fills with families, the paths are busy with joggers, and the café terrace at the southern end does a reliable trade.
The park has a small skate ramp, a children's play area, and benches that fill up in the evenings. A visit here provides a useful counterpoint to the tourist circuits: this is where Marrakshi families spend leisure time. The fountains are illuminated at night, making it a pleasant place for an evening walk. The park is easily combined with Avenue Mohammed V and the Cyber Park as part of an extended walk between the Koutoubia and central Gueliz.
