Pemba Airport

Pemba International Airport (POL) sits about six kilometres south of the city centre, a small terminal that handles a handful of flights a day. LAM Mozambique runs the main domestic services from Maputo and Nampula; in calm years there have also been regional flights to Dar es Salaam and Johannesburg.

The runway is long enough to handle larger jets, a legacy of expansion during the Cabo Delgado gas boom of the 2010s. Taxis from the airport to Wimbi Beach take fifteen minutes.
